LG 3D LED HDTV Unboxing

Excellent passive 3-D set.
The passive 3-D works well enough, but you want to be at eye level with the unit. (No mounting on the chimney here) There is almost no ghost at all, even on material that contains crosstalk on my 3-D in plasma. The resolution is low (which I can easily say), but not as bad and as long as you sit far enough in the series, you will not see scan lines. The 3-D Blu-ray is bright and, of course, the polarized glasses are lightweight and easily replaceable. DIRECTV 3-D channel bits soft about this game, but still acceptable.

And as good as my active 3-D set? Not really, that the activity has a better image quality, but the set is out of the top person, even beyond the plasma compared to the lack of ghosting / crosstalk will. I think that most casual viewers in 3-D would be very happy. 2-D and 3-D conversion is probably the best I've seen, although rarely would use this function.

I would not obsolete assets (after all, contained in 3-D works on both types of games, as you can choose between LCD, plasma or DLP, you can choose active or passive), but if you can get the best resolution (1080p eyes) I expect this market to go in the direction of the liability.

Great LED 3D TV
Just took this unit from a dealer had a sale since yesterday Sweet store wide anniversary of 20 years (choose CAPS). BTW, before my purchase, I was the proud owner of a Samsung 720p LCD TV for 8 years. The television is great. FTW passive 3D glasses. It gives a good idea of the depth of each pixel. The angle of the screen is pretty good. I put my time to love is a place on the side (perpendicular) to the remote and the guests are still able to see the screen. There is a float 20degree left and right sides of the TV.

The user interface is very simple. They are used for Samsung, LG, but the interface is not very far from being the same thing. My only problem is the delay between the remote and the menu selection screen. Sometimes I click the down arrow on the remote and not active on the screen so I have to press an additional period. IMO, is much smaller.

The applications I've tried Netflix, YouTube, Facebook, Picasa and Google. These applications work very well. In addition to the remote control, LG has established a "wand" as a remote control similar to that of the Nintendo Wii. Works with AA batteries and all you have to do is point the remote at the screen, press a button to activate and a viewfinder so you can click the buttons on the screen. Well, this is not a new and revolutionary, it's nice to see integrated into a television.

The physical characteristics of the TV is incredible. I see it in stores as a subtle, but take home, I could not even watch TV and watch the party. The conversion from 2D to 3D works perfectly. I have too much air DTV and my boyfriend and I'm just shocked by the ease of HDTV to watch TV for free. And 'the best part of TV passive 3D glasses. Now, there is no need to invest money on these goods slow shutter.

The TV is 120Hz and has a very fluid motion in which the characters move into scenes. But not over-the-top that the fluid Sony Bravia, I think those are little more than killing, so that the images do not seem natural. For $900 to Frys electronics, was the biggest bang for the buck. Go out and get yours today!

Guide to buy 3D HDTVs

Of course, the most basic sense, a 3D TV is a television that is able to provide photos and video in three dimensions. These screens do this by using new technologies to offer different images for each eye of the beholder. When each eye sees the same scene, but with a slightly different angle (as we do in real life), then the brain puts them together and is able to interpret the information contained in the third dimension.

While terms like LCD TV and Plasma refers to a very specific visualization technology, 3D TV, the term does not refer to any type of 3D display technology. In fact, we will have a plasma, LCD and DLP televisions 3D released in 2010. This can be confusing in itself. Many manufacturers rely on different display technologies to provide the best possible experience in 3D.

As for the active shutter glasses that are synchronized with the television screen and 3D passive techniques involving a TV that emits polarized light. Some manufacturers are also working on a 3D TV without glasses, although the performance is very poor at this point. The hope is that over time they will be able to develop and improve technology 3D without glasses, which will replace the current technology based on passive or active 3D glasses.

How 3D TV work?

The answer to this question is unfortunately no quick and easy. As mentioned previously, the televisions can use 3D visualization technologies are very different for the 3D effect. Finally, these techniques provide 3D graphics using technology innovations to offer a different image for each eye of the beholder.

If you are interested in the technology behind the 3D display, then I suggest you read our guides on how an in-depth 3D television, and our comparison of active and passive 3D television technology. Briefly review these technologies and also the list of advantages and disadvantages to having a better understanding of what to look for and what to be careful when you buy the new 3D TV. We should remember that at present all 3D TV technologies that are marketed for some form of 3D glasses for this purpose. However, these aren’t very obtrusive and the majority of people are quick to forget that they are wearing 3d glasses when they are immersed in a 3D environment.

Anaglyph technology

The old 3D that we are familiar. It is based on the use of shades of colored glass with different views of each piece. The images for the left and right eye are displayed simultaneously on the screen and are prone to another. In addition, the image is displayed for each color of the eyes that can not pass through the windows of the other eye. Therefore, each eye receives a unique image and are able to perceive in 3D.

However, this technology is full of many issues such as color fidelity terrible (because of the color film) and a very disappointing experience overall 3D. Fortunately, none of the big names are trying to sell the old technology obsolete and for us consumers, but if you see any technology 3D anaglyph sports television, be sure to keep a safe distance, like nothing remotely good can come out of it.

Active Shutter Glasses

Active glasses containing liquid crystals and polarizing filters that help to transform the dark glass, when a small voltage is applied. This voltage is applied on and off at a rapid pace (at least 120 times per second - 120 Hz) so that each eye alternates between being black or being transparent and allowing the television image to pass through the eye the viewer.

The glasses are synchronized with the TV in 3D so that when the left eye shows only part of the left eye is transparent, and when the right eye is displayed on screens in 3D, the left eye and right eye becomes blind is made to be transparent.

Passive Polarized 3D TVs

If you have recently seen a 3D movie at the cinema then you've probably seen a passive polarized 3D display. These screens work, which shows two images on the screen at once (although they can also be viewed in sequential order), but with each image with a different bias. If you want to know more about what is polarized and polarized 3D visualization of how these work, feel free to read more detail in 3D technology.

What is important to keep in mind is that in the case of "passive" displays, 3D glasses are glasses containing a single polarizing filter for each eye. Because of the difference in polarization filters for each eye, and then, the difference of polarization of the two images displayed on the 3D display, each eye receives only a picture you want for it, which can experience high-quality 3D.

Fantastic 3D TV
I bought this TV after much agonizing about the possibility of buying a new LCD TV or the latest 3D LED, and I can say after 2 weeks of ownership I really made the right choice. This TV is great if you buy for 3D TV, or simply great.

Design - This TV is ultra thin 0.9 inches. OK, not so incredibly thin that the flagship model 2010 9.000 0.3 inches, but its less than half the price and design wise it looks exactly the same thing. I hung on a wall using the Samsung software low profile, and feels like a painting on the wall. The atmosphere is elegant silver, and if you use one of the Internet applications such as Picasso, you can have photos to play on a presentation to make it truly look like a painting. Wall mounted, no more than 1.5 inches - pretty amazing. If you do not get the support provided is very sophisticated as well.

Picture - This set is replacing a Sony LCD HDTV 4 years, so for me, the difference is amazing. Superb sharpness, contract and color. The 240Hz creates a beautiful, almost too good for certain types of entertainment, creating what some call a feeling of what it looks artificial, but it's all a matter of personal preferences and settings can be adjusted, if necessary. For me it's like looking through a window and I like it. Black levels and the Board of lighting are perfectly fine for me - I have a well-lit room and elevated above a fireplace and the picture is excellent throughout.

Internet applications - I did not expect to use these a lot, but in reality very well. I like the AP ticker, and AccuWeather, Yahoo and YouTube are also frequently used. Best of all is that this TV introduced me to Netflix, where the convenience of simply pressing a button on the remote makes my viewing of streaming movies and TV shows easier than watching my DVR.

3D - amazing that this technology can be brought into the house. Not so much in the sense of native 3D content yet (but it is amazing what these people), but the TV will convert 2D to 3D and does it well, especially if the level of 3D depth. As you might expect, this works best in a dark room with an HD signal and action packed scenes. I saw The Dark Knight on the conversion process and was impressed.

Overall, I'm really impressed with the TV that incorporates technology with breathtaking images and the best aesthetic design. In addition, you can not go wrong buying through Amazon, I had a 20% discount on the shipping list, and no tax and free delivery service is superb.

Great 3D LED TV, Great Customer Service
I bought this to replace my 60" Sony A2000, which had broken the optical Although I thought that the A2000 is great (the first died), the Samsung C8000 is fighting in every way imaginable Most impressive is the level. A Once the black is in a well, blacks are black, while the contrast and image detail is preserved. (even out of the box, the picture quality is great, but after some significant changes, is simply staggering .)

Another nice touch is the option 240Hz dejudder "custom" between reducing motion blur. To be taken to reduce motion blur for 9 or 10, and leaving dejudder 0 or 1, the C8000 will produce a very smooth, as the movement of the plasma, avoiding the effect of "soap opera" that many 120Hz LCD TV/240Hz for the production of solutions.

Finally, a word about Amazon customer service. As much as I loved my TV, when I removed the protective film, I found an unsightly dent in the bezel. I contacted Amazon, and they immediately offered to send a new one and pickup the old one, with no return shipping charge to me. It's great to see when a retailer matches a high-quality product with high-quality customer service.

Unpacked Vizio E3D420VX 3D LCD HDTV

Awesome 3D TV for the price ..
I was looking for 3D TV for more than a year before I bought this TV. Plasma was my vote as the lack of deep black levels was something very obvious to me my last two TVs. I was interested in Panasonic GT25 series for everything but the cost of glasses and putting remain active (battery, wear, etc.) was prohibitive (this is a 2nd TV in the room).

The first time I heard of passive devices based glasses RPF was about a year ago. It was said that the best thing to do, but being a geek who has been burned before departure, I was skeptical that the 3D effect is very good. I'm sure there will be sacrifices in terms of 2D image quality, but I was really surprised at the quality of the images (2D and 3D) on this TV. The device can not be beat in terms of image quality and features at this low price (similarly capable LG televisions (although with 240 Hz and a couple of bells and whistles) is more than double).
I have had an HDTV (this being my 3rd) for the past 5 years and this TV has the best image quality and features and costs the least.

PROS:

- Even though this is an LCD panel the blacks levels are actually pretty good.
- PS3 and XBOX360 on HDMI look fantastic and there are several modes available to tweak color temp and/or brightness hue contrast levels.
- 3D effect looks amazing with both games and movies. I have had the TV for only a day so I have not had a chance to watch a full length 3D movie yet. 3D games I tried include wipeout HD which looks amazing. I had tried this game previously on a 3D Sony TV before and this one looks just as good while costing one 3rd.
- Lots of options are available for different settings e.g. Zoom has 4 settings (normal, wide, zoom, panoramic)
- Internet apps are available for flickr, facebook, NEtflix, VUDU, Amazon video on demand, Blockbuster and lots of news station. Not needing to power up my PS3 (for netflix) or my PC (for amazon video on demand) mean power savings :).
- Qwerty keyboard on the remote makes using these internet apps a breeze.
- The TV has wifi n and ethernet both which makes it very flexible. It has 3 HDMI ports and 1 component and 1 VGA port.
- It has capability to play songs and display pictures a usb disk (has 2-3 usb ports, I tried connecting my western digital passport and it worked great)but no movies. Pictures app has a lot of different transitions that make the slideshow and normal photo viewing great.
- The passive glasses are much lighter and more comfortable than active shutter glasses I had tried before. I wear glasses so I have to wear these on top of my existing ones and they have been much easier to handle than other glasses. I believe one can get clip-on type attachments (generic variety not from Vizio) for prescription glasses as well.

CONS:

- None that I can think of. The TV has surpassed my expectations for its price. To nitpick it is not 240HZ, or LED backlit, does not support PIP or POP. There are less options available compared to TVs that cost more than twice as much.
- After a couple of weeks of use I can definitely say that the TV is a little slow to start compared to my older HDTV, granted this one has internet apps (implying an embedded processor with an OS that needs to boot) but it is a noticeable difference. Since, this feature was not something I could test with other floor models, this could just be the norm for internet enabled TVs.

More than a 3D TV!
Earlier I gave this TV a negative review for 2 reasons:
1. 3D would not work with my Playstation 3 and Killzone 3.
2. Games had noticeable lag during gameplay.

After a few touch-ups around, I solved both problems. The problem I have with this is that because 3D TV is relatively new, that requires HDMI 1.4 cables to enable 3D content to work. So if you plan to use it with an older HDMI cable, think twice. Online forum can say otherwise, but it will take someone who has experienced the frustration of a serious problem, you need HDMI 1.4 CABLE for 3D.

The problem with the game is delayed because the default settings on the TV. You have to go to settings and enable "game mode". Until you change this setting on the TV and games are practically unplayable CoD other fast pace action due to input offset.

After these problems are resolved, then it's smooth sailing for gamers and movie lovers alike. This is a great value for a TV with these features and is really running. My only complaint is that the other players are very poor. It only a problem if you do not have a speaker system. From now on this TV is not available on Amazon, so I suggest anyone who wants to buy to go to their nearest Wal-Mart and pick it up. You can not go wrong with a deal so good!

What you need to watch TV in 3D at home?

To see something in 3D you'll need a 3D capable TV and a source capable of delivering 3D content for television - usually a 3D Blu-ray, but maybe a cable box or satellite devices, game consoles or video streaming . For some settings you'll want a home theater system or an AV receiver that can switch HDMI sources 3D. On the other hand, probably do not need to buy new HDMI cables. Oh yeah: you also need a pair of 3D glasses for each viewer.

Yes, with the exception of the 3D simulation, you need specialized, new 3D content to view in 3D. The most common content, today takes the form of 3D Blu-ray, which appeared in 2010, adhering to a specific standard and lead the 3D logo, 3D Blu-ray. Television and video games also need to be in a specific format to provide 3D 3D effect.

Logo for new 3D technology

As a 3D Blu-ray discs are already available?
Very little. The first 3D Blu-ray Discs with the logo above and be available for sale in stores was "loudy With a Chance of Meatballs." Since its release June 22, 2010, a handful of other titles are now available in stores and online, Blu-ray.com has 39 U.S. titles available now, with another 21 announced the arrival of the end-year.

Many of them are documentaries, IMAX films and entertainment for children. Many, including Avatar, are exclusive only available as part of a package when you buy a 3D TV or other gear. Other important titles coming this year include "Tron: Legacy" (April), "The Green Hornet" and "Bolt" (2011). We expect the network to continue in 2011 in the same direction. High Definition Digest has published a list of good, with links to reviews, release notes and the list of previous anaglyph releases Blu-ray 3D, in January 2011.

Avatar is new 3D technology Blu-ray disc

What about older 3D DVDs and Blu-ray discs?
Many Blu-ray and DVD, as "Coraline" and "Journey to the Center of the Earth", contains versions of the film, and often pairs with a pair of colored glasses, anaglyph old style, and therefore able to provide a complete high-resolution color 3D. Even more disturbing is that some titles, like "Coraline" is also available in the "new" 3D Blu-ray . The best way to distinguish between new ("full HD") and old ("anaglyphs") Blue 3D-ray is to look for the official logo 3D Blu-ray.

That television programs and networks are in 3D now?
Not much. Besides sports, television programming is not produced in 3D non-conventional, large networks Discovery Channel and ESPN announced 3D. Most played ESPN channel is 3D, available on DirecTV, Comcast, AT&T U-verse and Time Warner Cable. Launched in June 2010 with the football World Cup and went to 24 hours format February 14, 2011. It shows some live events like the 2010 Home Run Derby and a couple of college football and NBA games, but most of the content is prerecorded.

DirecTV has also launched in n3D, the first 24 hours of the 3D channel and a joint venture with Panasonic, exclusive last year. It shows the 3D occasional event, like the 2010 Baseball All-Star Game, and U.S. Open tennis tournament, and expenses documentary.

On February 13, 2011, DirecTV began carrying 3Net, an additional 24 hours of Discovery Channel in 3D, IMAX 3D, and Sony, which will specialize in nature documentaries. Unlike n3D is not exclusive, although other carriers have collected from the time of press.

Other cable and satellite offers the occasional event and/or have some 3D available on request, but when the content of DirecTV offers 3D TV from further away.

There are a couple of video games in 3D?
Once again, the spoils are scarce. Among the Sony PS3 supports the largest selection of games, including Gran Turismo 5 and Call of Duty: Black Ops, and provides a complete set of 2011, including news Uncharted Killzone 3 and 3 (complete list). 360 Xbos some media as well, including COD: BO and Batman: Arkham Asylum, but do not offer nearly as much as the PS3. Nintendo Wii is no 3D games, but the company will launch the 3DS, a glass without a mobile gaming platform in March 2011.

With the help of tools such as 3D Kit Nvidia, PCs have been able to offer 3D games, 2D converted several versions, for the last year of some compatible televisions and monitors.

Some 3D Internet offers streaming services?
With 3D glasses for TV providers and Blu-ray, we expect that the streaming services on the Internet to help bridge the gap for 3D content. Vudu is the first offering of 3D movies side-by-side format to select televisions and Blu-ray players, including Sony's PlayStation 3. Samsung offers a separate TV "App", a movie trailer in 3D. Netflix and Amazon Video On Demand does not even 3D, but it's only a matter of time, in our view, front, with YouTube and other video services, join the club.

Worth every penny (check dealer for 3D disc)
This is a great 3D movie, a must, and even some of the others have said. This is by far the best 3D movie I have in my collection. If you read this review, then you're probably thinking of buying the 3D version. It just my opinion, but if you're like me and you were sitting in the room watching this and you thought to yourself: "I want to see in 3D at home!" So it's all a bit of $200 or more. You will not regret, but be careful in the choice of retailer.

Everything was fine, I ordered, it took 2-3 days to reach my house. No problem ..... until I received in the mail. I put it in the PS3 and was not in 3D !!!!! It was the Blu-Ray, which was put into a box of 3D avatars and then put a plastic sleeve. I spent about $230.00 all together on this issue and I felt faint. I try really hard not to make stupid decisions, but it was not very auspicious. I wrote to the dealer and explained what had happened and I was very angry and was about to be cured. I was afraid they would not have the 3D version to send me, and I blame and say that I changed the disks. It a little traumatic. I wrote a couple of hours later and said they would take care of him. A few days later, I got the 3D version of the film.

So the reason I'm writing this review is to let people know what a few honest people doing dishonest. The Bank explained that he came across several cases where people buy the starter kit 3D avatars and carefully remove the 3D version and replace it with Blu-Ray. They then either return saying it was not open, or sell, not to get stuck paying $ 50.00 to $400.

I think it's quite common. So I just wanted to give you a heads-up. I was lucky with the dealer, because they were honest. I fear that some people will not be so lucky. A couple of things you can do is try to buy at the dealer who has the highest number of votes, does not guarantee that it will not be torn, but usually the dealers with the most votes will have more experience and can be easier to treat. For this product, I would not do with a retail start-ups, too risky. You can also write to the dealer and they verify that the disk is the 3D case, prior to shipment. Good luck.

Great glasses after much research
I researched 3D glasses and 3D television for about two months. I finally decided on these with a Panasonic 50" 3D TV. I read the reviews of glasses to be uncomfortable, they say, is little light, others lament the dead, ect. There seems to be a complaint with almost all the windows . more than once. They seemed to have the best reviews and complaints that do not have much. So I went with them.
I have no complaints. They are comfortable and do not mind, even after 4 hours of play wearing them, or watching movies. I do not understand some of the complaints to be honest. I think there's always "that guy" out there that complains about anything. These glasses are good, work well and are comfortable for me (man, of medium build, my wife is small and has no complaints either).

I really like the on/off switch and red LED to indicate when they are in office. All-in-all these are worth the price.

Comfortable, high quality and efficient Box Set
Panasonic, as the exclusive, this version of Avatar in 3D is incredible! My friend and I were testing the new Panasonic plasma 3D. After playing a few rounds of Killzone 3D (amazing), we decided it was time to relax and have some dinner and watch the avatars. Guys, we have been a surprise. In practice, we were so fascinated by the quality of the film's main menu (title screen) that we could not keep his eyes off the television, making it impossible for dinner (or ridiculously messy). So after watching the TV and adjust finishing our meal, we shot the film.

If you have seen IMAX 3D avatar, this version is almost identical. Seriously. This is the real deal. See the 3D effects in your home makes you understand who we really are a beautiful species on this planet, capable of great achievements and monumental! I must caution, however, the 3D action too can be very draining on your mind, especially if I play well. Overall, this DVD is totally worth the money.

The glass is perfectly fit my eye. You can connect any USB device for charging too much (TV, PC or PS3). They also come with a nice protective box. Make sure you have a microfiber cloth to clean the lens. The time has come: Climb aboard the 3D revolution with both feet!
